????Edward Artserunian was born on December 28, in 1926 in Giumri, Armenia, into the family of a miller. In 1946 he entered an art school in Yerevan. After graduating the school he leaves for Leningrad (St. Petesburg) to study at the art school attached to the Academy of Arts. In 1951 Artserunian enters the Leningrad Academy of Arts. In1957 he graduates from it obtaining a distinction. In 1989 he became a National Artist of Armenian SSR. In 1987 Artserunian's one man exhibition was organized in the Central Exhibition Hall in Moscow. A hundred of his works were exhibited and he was awarded a silver medal of the Academy of Arts of the USSR.
????The works of the artist are kept in the Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow, in the State Gallery, Moscow, in the State Gallery of Armenia, in the funds of the Ministry of Culture of Armenia and in private collections in Yerevan, Moscow, Boston, Los Angeles, Paris and Tehran.
